Journey Jots #19

Hello, guys! Hope you are well!

It was another busy week both on the blog and the home front.

My post two weeks ago, Top 10 Thrift Shopping Tips, went viral and I was in utter shock, in the best way possible. I’m so, so grateful to all of you who read that post and resonated with it!

Life Lately

And, here at home, we had to call a plumber last week to come snake our garbage disposal drain. It kept backing up and was incredibly disgusting. Then! Because home projects are never just one and done, the pipe that connects to the disposal itself was leaking afterwards.

My husband is very handy and fixed it, after a trip to the hardware store of course, but we literally couldn’t use the kitchen sink for 2 whole days!! You don’t know how much you use and need the kitchen sink until you don’t have it. Has this ever happened to you?!

river fishing in Minnesota

Last Saturday, we spent fly fishing at one of our favorite river spots. Although the sun was out, it was SO windy and very cold. But! That’s part of fishing. Even though the fishing was hard and we got skunked, it was still extremely relaxing.

I never, ever regret spending a day on the river. Nature teaches you so many things if you just choose to listen.

Then, earlier last week, the temps were in the 60’s, which is unheard of in Minnesota in February!

So, we decided to go for a 15 mile bike ride on the trail by our house! SUCH a blast…the whole ride I kept thinking it was April because that’s what it felt like!

Lastly, Molly turned 9 months on Thursday! I just cannot believe it.

She is the happiest little human I’ve ever met and makes everyone else around her smile.

  • Sorry to hear about your plumbing issues! We had to call a plumber for the first time in this house and found out that tree roots were clogging the pipe, ouch! Glad you’ve had such great weather and been able to get outside! Have a fabulous week!

Oh gosh! That’s crazy!! It wasn’t that big of an issue but still something expensive to pay for…home ownership 🙂

Right?! Home ownership is super fun but those are the not so fun parts. Enjoy the weekend, friend!
