These 5 favorite home cleaning products will make your rooms sparkle!

Over the years, I have experimented with many cleaning products but have found a few that I love to use over any other. These brands are clean and healthy, safe for my family as well as the environment. Join me today as I share my 5 favorite home cleaning products!

This might sound strange but I love to clean my house. It’s so refreshing to spend time each week tidying and rejuvenating each room in my home. I feel like I have things together when I can stick to a weekly cleaning schedule which enables me to give each space the attention it deserves.

5 Favorite Home Cleaning Products

Some of the products I’m sharing today don’t necessarily fall under ‘cleaning’ but they are close enough. These are the home items that you will find all in the same area in a store so I’m just going with that 🙂 Let’s get into them!

1. Mrs. Meyer’s Hand Soap

Who doesn’t love a good hand soap? I’ve used Mrs. Meyer’s soap for years. All of the scents are lovely but I’m partial to the Fall scented soaps 🙂

Instead of purchasing small pump bottles each month, which helps to cut down on plastic use, I buy the large refill instead. I have glass soap dispensers in each bathroom and just fill them up using the refill when they get low!

2. Norwex Rags and Dust Mitt

These cleaning rags are such a life saver! If you don’t know about the Norwex brand yet, I will simply tell you that it is a chemical free way to clean your home only by using the rags and warm water!

You can go to their website to learn more.

I use the rags for cleaning bathrooms, wiping up spots on the carpet, cleaning my car…literally for everything.

The dust mitt is also miraculous. All you do is plop this thing onto your hand and away you go! This duster does such an amazing job of cleaning even the dustiest of places!

These items have truly revolutionized my cleaning routine.

3. Grove Co. Dishwasher Soap

This dishwasher detergent is, hands down, my absolute favorite. It not only smells amazing but it works amazingly well at cleaning the messiest of dishes!

I love to open the dishwasher to let the dishes cool down before unloading it and the steamy smell of lemon and eucalyptus is heavenly, almost like getting a mini facial.

4. Simple Green All Purpose Cleaner

I use this cleaner for two specific purposes.

The first one is to clean hard water spots out of my shower. I spray this all over the sides and bottom of the shower and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Then, I run hot water on it and wipe it clean! Voila!

The other place I use this is to deep clean the kitchen sink. My sink is old porcelain and gets stained easily but this cleaner works so well to undo the dinginess. I spray this all over and shake a little baking soda over the top, let it sit for a while, then wipe it off. The sink shines like new!

5. Method AntiBac Toilet Bowl Cleaner

The last one I have to share is this toilet cleaner. I know it’s kind of a weird thing to talk about but I really, really dislike dirty toilets. So, I’m just here to help if you feel the same 🙂

I’ve used this Method brand for over 6 years now and it’s the only product I use for my toilets. It smells amazing and works well at absorbing any odors. There. You’re welcome.

  • Helpful tips! Do you use the Simple Green full strength or diluted per the directions?? There is a buildup of hard water on the shower door of our new-to-us house and I am wondering if it might help.

      Hi Kim!
Thank you! I’m happy these were helpful. I honestly just spray in right into my shower…all over the floor and walls. It gets the pink hard water spots right out if I let it sit for a few minutes. Give it a try!! Thanks for coming by today!

  • These product posts are so helpful, Rachel, thank you for putting them together! I don’t think I’ve ever tried the plum berry scent from Mrs Meyers so I’m excited to check it out. I’ve been using a wand duster for years but the hand duster seems like it would be a total game changer. I love to clean too. I swear it always puts me in the best mood when I’m finished! Big hugs, CoCo

  • OMG, we use all the same stuff and I’m partial to the Mrs Meyers Fall scents too! The only product I’ve never tried is the dishwasher soap. I’ll try that with my next Grove order! Norwex clothes are the best! Now, if only I loved to clean as you do, lol!! Have a great one!
