Journey Jots #87

Hello, guys! How are you? Can you believe we are already in the last week of July?! Crazy how fast time flies. Though, this time of year it’s constantly hot and buggy here, so, I am totally in the mood for fall. How’s the weather where you are??

I love hearing from you and learning what’s new in your world. Let me know in the comments!

Life Lately

Late last week, the weather cooled down a bit and we were able to take Tilly for a walk on a wooded trail. It was SO pretty after a gentle rain! The trail went alongside a creek that, back in the day, used to hold Brook Trout. Isn’t that so neat?!

There was a neat bridge that we walked over and Tilly enjoyed taking in the view:) I do love her so.

The wildflowers are so pretty this time of year…the woods and roadside ditches are full of yellow, orange, purple, and pink!

And, finally, here is an adorable photo of miss Molly, happily swinging on her swing set. She loves to carry around her little fisher price people:) I cannot believe that she is over 2 now and starting an ECFE program in the fall already!

Weekly Shopping Finds- Favorite Finds Lately

  • If you have a dog with seasonal allergies, or know someone who does, these vet strength allergy relief chews are amazing. We just started Tilly on them last week and so far it’s really helping to control her (out of control) histamine levels!
  • This might be a weird thing to link but hubby and I are both obsessed with this peanut butter. It’s SO good and unlike any other kind I’ve ever had.
  • If you are looking for eco-friendly laundry soap, this brand is truly worth trying.
  • I SWEAR by Semaine Health. I’ve been using their period/pms capsules for almost 2 years now and thinking about starting the peri(menopause) relief capsules, as well. I don’t promote products that I don’t 100% believe in so, if you are a friend are needing some support in this area, check them out!
  • I recently mentioned this but we’ve had this air purifier for about a month now and truly love it. I’m less sneezy and don’t wake up so congested in the mornings now. Really worth the price, especially if you live close to other neighbors!

On the Blog-Journey Jots #87

This past Thursday, I shared a brand new blog post on 13 items that can easily be thrifted for low budget home decor. I share some thrifty tips and a list of 13 things that I always thrift for my home because, well, why not?!

As we near the end of July, your home might be in need of a little refresh. Might I suggest lemons?! Faux lemons can easily be found at craft stores and add a cheery summer vibe to any shelf. This post has a plethora of simple decorating ideas with lemons!

And, finally, if you are in the crafting mood, whip up some homemade potpourri in anticipation of fall! This potpourri recipe is SO easy and SO fragrant. I still have it in a Ziploc bag from last year and intend to pull it out again soon.
